Luciana was born in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi an Italian army officer and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lovers. There are no known siblings. Luciana was a student at the high school in her town, following her graduation in the year 1955. She then was a student at the Naval Engineering department of the Scientific Academy of Milan. The only woman in her class. Then, after two more years of modeling, she got a role in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Brett Halsey - an actor who was her first partner. Following their marriage in 1960 and the production of an ensemble film called Return to the Peyton Palace. The couple was blessed with the birth of a son called Charles born on 13 June 1961. They divorced just a year after his birth and Luciana was given custody. Between 1962 and the year 1970 Luciana had a relationship with Tony Athony who was an actor and producer who was influenced by her work in the movie Green Slime and based on that he wrote and produced the mix Spaghetti Western for which he became somewhat popular.
